
It was 1919 when grandfather Giovanni, known as “Giuannill’ u’ candnir'”, was repaid at the nd of the First World War for his commitment on the front by the state with a plot of land.
On this land, fruit of his blood, he decided to open “a’ cantin'”, a meeting piace for fishermen and farmers in the San Vito area.
Evening meeting piace of men, weakened by the sun and the sea of Puglia by boat or in the fields, who found peace in that piace from the fatigue of the day.
From that small cellar, four generations of the Carrieri family have alterned in the name of hospitality up to the seaside restaurant from Giselda.
