In 1975, along the enchanting banks of Torre Canne, Carlo Cofano was not just a fisherman, but a visionary. From his culinary soul was born a simple and genuine kiosk, made of reeds and seasoned wood, where the world had the first taste of his inimitable sandwich with roasted octopus. This little gastronomic haven quickly became a favorite with visitors.
In the wake of this success, not far from the original kiosk, “LA BAIA” was born, a restaurant dedicated to the celebration of the culinary tradition started by Carlo. Marco, who had inherited his father’s love and dedication, led “LA BAIA” keeping Carlo’s legacy alive until 2013.
However, the call of the roots was strongly felt. Animated by the desire to return to the essence, Marco opened a new kiosk in the small port of Torre Canne.
